Sunday June 2, 2024, to commemorate the end of the Second World War and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Toulouse, the Vendine town hall will honor the Maison de Vendine. Visitors to the village will have the opportunity to discover the extraordinary past of this place steeped in history.
This house, also known as "Clapton", housed between June 1942 and October 1943 Jewish children and adolescents saved from the camps by the resistance network of Monseigneur Saliège, then archbishop of Toulouse.
A commemorative panel will be placed on the wall of the Town Hall to retrace the exceptional history of this house.
