Built on a castle mound, Loubens-Lauragais is a charming village marked by the period of "blue gold", in other words the pastel trade, this deep blue dye which made the richness of Lauragais in the XNUMXth century.
Founded by the ancient Loubens family, the castle was remodeled in the XNUMXth century.
The castle can be visited for groups by appointment and also for individuals during European Heritage Days.
The park, classified "Remarkable Garden of France", can be visited free of charge during the "Rendez-vous au jardin" the first weekend of June.
You will enjoy walking through the alleys of the village which have kept all their charm of yesteryear.
A 10km hiking loop starts from the heart of the village and takes you to the neighboring village, Le Faget.
