Worthy namesake of Aurillac Cantalou, Auriac-sur-Vendinelle also has its festival which pays homage to street arts. Supported by the Les Ruelles d'Auriac association, this festival brings together artists of all kinds every year, since 2010, during a long Saturday in May.
Shows for the whole family
Each edition offers a rich, varied program with no downtime. The festivities begin in the early afternoon and last until late at night. The best troupes of artists in the region take turns and offer their beautiful creations to the eyes of a large and delighted audience.
There is something for every taste ! Music, theater, circus, puppets, crazy rides and games for young and old.
An enriching and free moment of life, or almost, since participation in the shows is given “at random”.
The emblem: A whale.
But why ?!
A local legend tells that a long time ago, a whale ran aground in Vendinelle in the heart of the village of Auriac. She felt so comfortable there that she stayed there for days and days... In any case, that's what the story goes! And it has since become the essential emblem of the village…and of the Ruelles!
The Les Ruelles d’Auriac association
The Alleys of Auriac is a non-profit cultural association that has existed since 2010 and organizes various events related to street arts. This association promotes broad accessibility for audiences far from culture, whether for geographical criteria by developing cultural events in rural areas, or for socio-economic criteria by proposing free and open-participation events.
The association attaches great importance to its local commitment, bringing in its wake numerous volunteers from Auriac-sur-Vendinelle and Lauragais. Around twenty permanent volunteers share their passion throughout the year, and are joined by 80 volunteers for the organization of the Festival des Ruelles.

14 artist companies will be present to offer a particularly sparkling edition with many surprises and unusual games:

- Country wanderings
- Wooden games
- A ride from yesteryear
- And of course burlesque, poetic and sometimes committed shows
A party for everyone, with free access. However, bring coins and notes. Your participation in the hat brings the festival to life!
