Pierre Lebrun, a beekeeper since 2012, currently has 25 hives around Faget.
He practices rigorous ethics in all phases of honey production with respect for the bees. For example, he prohibits himself from current practices of intensive yield with "feeding" (addition of sugars, chemicals, etc.). With this traditional production method, he does not see the mortalities that are generally deplored by the players in this sector.
A visit to the honey house is organized twice a year in spring and autumn, during the organization of a two and a half hour walking tour. You can then cross the different hives and receive at the end of this tour a presentation of the beekeeping profession in the form of a conference and debate. A sales fair is organized that day.
Depending on the season, different varieties of honey are offered: spring honey, rapeseed, acacia, lime, sunflower, chestnut or all flowers.
