The "Le Castrum" gîte is housed in an old house overlooking the esplanade of the village of Le Faget and anchored on the old medieval fortified square. The thickness of some of the walls and the loopholes recall the ancient origins of the place.
The house, attached to the church, offers spacious accommodation consisting of a living room, two bedrooms (with 160cm beds), and a modern, equipped kitchen. The accommodation has two bathrooms and two toilets, one of which is separate.
At the front of the house, a small flower garden and a large covered terrace overlook the village square. Sunbathing and meals can be enjoyed here in peace and quiet. Upstairs, a south-facing solarium opens onto the small garden and overlooks the church, providing a relaxing setting.
The parking of vehicles and the practice of pétanque can be done on the square.
The village of Faget is part of the Pays de Cocagne within the “blue gold triangle” linking Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history linked to the cultivation and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.
