Canalathlon: Internship offer

Since 2016, the PETR du Pays Lauragais, accompanied by the Gal des Terroirs du Lauragais, has organized a sporting and cultural event every two years to highlight the Canal du Midi: the Canalathlon.

Led by the PETR tourism commission, and in collaboration with the other thematic commissions, this event aims to highlight the riches of the territory through:

• A sporting event: multidisciplinary race
• An arrival village including cultural and musical activities, a farmers' market, eco-responsible activities...

Job Description

Placed under the authority of the President, under the responsibility of the Director of PETR and in liaison with the tourism and communication project manager, you will be responsible for the following missions:

Organization of the 2024 event

• Management and animation of networks for a good federation of local actors
• The creation of communication supports to ensure the visibility of the event: print, web, press, radio communication and design of supports for the big day.
  

Ensure the smooth running of the event

• Participate in the proper implementation of the different phases of the event
• Ensure logistics before and during the event
• Ensure the various administrative procedures for monitoring the file, including requests for funding, regulatory authorization, etc.
• Collaborate and coordinate the various partners and service providers of the event.

Profile

• Bac+ 3 to Bac+ 5 in the fields of tourism, events and communication.
• Knowledge of organizing and implementing events in a public space.
• Knowledge of institutional actors and local authorities.
• Mastery of office software and IT tools
• Mastery of event techniques
• Dynamism and team spirit
• Autonomy, planning and rigor
• Organizational skills, versatility and ability to manage stress
• Valid B license and personal vehicle essential

Conditions

6-month internship from May to October 2024
Remuneration: mandatory bonus
35 hours per week
