Created in 2000, the association Sentiers Nature Calmontais took charge of the opening and maintenance of the hiking trails in the town of Calmont. This close-knit and dynamic team delights nature lovers and local hikers, but also clubs in the region, always looking for new routes for their weekly outings. About 25 km of trails on paths and roads have been opened and linked together by the association. They offer a wide variety of circuits on the heights of Lauragais and in the undergrowth of the hillsides offering beautiful perspectives on the plain of Basse-Ariège and the Pyrenees.
The association also federates the walkers of Lauragais around gatherings and collective hikes, which meet with great success each time.
