Loubens-lauragais
The occupation of the Loubens site is old: the place where the mill is located is an old castle mound. THE current castle dates from the XNUMXth century, period of theGolden age du cake. The pretty houses in the village date from this same period.
On the ground floor were the stalls or workshops. On the first floor were the apartments, and on the last level a wooden gallery called “soleillou” was used to dry crops, laundry… The church dates from the XNUMXth century.

Current Mourville Castle dates from the end of the 1773th century. Joseph de Villèle experienced a meteoric rise in society: he was (among other things!) Mayor of Toulouse and President of the Council in XNUMX under Louis XVIII.

Chapel of Noumerens
Few Romanesque buildings remain in Lauragais.
Our Lady of Noumérens (XNUMXth century) is the perfect exception. These Romanesque churches are characterized by a single nave (basilica type), with an entrance located on the south side so as not to weaken the rigidity of the west gable, bearing the bells. The steeple-wall, typical of the region, has its origins in Romanesque art: it is relatively simple to build, and does not require the involvement of a specialized architect to control structural problems. The west gable wall is simply raised and pierced with bays or holes (openings with semicircular arches) to hang the bells from.

Saint-Julia-Gras-Capou
Its name shows the color: it is in this medieval village that the fat capon was invented by chance at the time of the barbarian invasions. In the Middle Ages, Saint-Julia was a closed village, surrounded by ditches and fortifications. All around the village, remains of ditches which are still filled with water today. To the west and south of the village, remains of walls are still visible today. Two gates allowed access to the interior of the village: the gate of Sers or Toulouse, which still exists, piercing the ramparts to the west of the village; and the Auta or Revel gate, with a drawbridge over the ditch which has disappeared. It was located to the east of the village enclosure.
The steeple-wall of the church is said to be “fan-shaped”. He owns the oldest bell in the department (1396). It is visible from the square: it is the biggest bell.
