In the heart of Lauragais, 35 km south-east of Toulouse, Gardouch is home to a former flour mill on the banks of the Canal du Midi.
Coming from diverse backgrounds, the Canal Coop' association was founded to breathe new life into this wasteland that had been abandoned for several decades.
In this third place full of life, several activities coexist.
- The Canal Coop association:
Since the beginning of the adventure, the Canal Coop' association has been carrying out the project to rehabilitate the old flour mill, to make it a third place welcoming multiple activities serving the inhabitants of a rapidly evolving area.
This creative and ambitious team offers a rich and varied program of events throughout the year (concerts, shows, debate meetings, workshops, etc.).
- The millers’ café:
This community café and its terrace welcome you in a warm atmosphere to have a drink and taste platters of local products. You can also enjoy the many activities (concerts, shows and various meetings) programmed by the team of this associative and cultural place.
- The stall, the canal grocery store:
This small 20m² business offers an attractive range of food products from local production within a maximum radius of 50 kilometers from Gardouch. You will find on the shelves: cheeses, vegetables, cold meats, dairy products, eggs, beers, fruit juices, lemonades, colas, herbal teas and even coffee from a roaster located in Venerque! Bread from the Gardouch bakers of “Au Pain Levé” completes the selection.
- The multi-activity room:
Located on the 1st floor of La Minoterie, the multi-activity room hosts your activities and meetings in an atypical and warm space of 40m². It can be privatized on request to organize work meetings or develop individual projects.
The room is accessible during the week between 12 p.m. and 14 p.m. or in the evening from 18 p.m. in order to guarantee peace and quiet for co-workers in the adjoining space.
Price for 1 hour rental: €10.
