For its 5th edition, Canalathlon invites you to explore the Lauragais lands, between the Thesauque lake et Montesquieu-Lauragais going through the canal du midi. This sporting and family event will give you unforgettable moments!
This fifth edition will take place on Saturday October 5, 2024 at Lac de la Thésauque from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m..
A friendly race to do as a team
The Canalathlon is above all a team race, combining stages of running, mountain biking, orienteering and canoeing.
All day long, an entertainment village open to all, located on the site of theAquapark Toulouse, invites you to have fun: concert, entertainment for all audiences, catering without forgetting the costume competition!

The price is 25 € per person i.e. €100 per team including:
- Registration for the race for 4 people (road book, bibs, loan of canoes, refreshments, provision of emergency services)
- The meal including starter, main course and dessert offered by the caterer Brasero & Co.
Vegetarian meal option. - A gift for every athlete
As a sporting event in solidarity with the replanting of the Canal du Midi trees, €2/person will be donated to Voies Navigables de France.
The 2024 route
New to the sports course: For the first time, the sports course is offered in a loop. The mountain bike stages can therefore be done as a whole team.
- Step 1 : The sporting event will begin with a 4 km race, ideal for warming up!
- Step 2 : The athletes will then ride their mountain bike for 24 km towards the Canal du Midi through the Lauragaise countryside.
- Step 3 : Arriving at the village of Montesquieu-Lauragais, an orienteering course will allow them to discover the village.
- Step 4 : The route will then take them back to Thésauque Lake by mountain bike for 10 km.
- Step 5 : The last event will certainly be the most emblematic, since a 3 km canoe loop will await our athletes.
An arrival village rich in entertainment
The October 5, from 9:00 PM til 17PM, the Canalathlon finish village is open to everyone throughout the day. Located on the edge of Thesauque lake, the entertainment village will have many surprises in store for you: a market of local producers and artisans, fun and “eco-responsible” activities, etc.
