For a day, immerse your students in the fascinating history of Pastel in the South of Toulouse. This plant with its astonishing virtues brought wealth and pride to the region during the Renaissance.
This timeless day will take you to Pastel Museum in Labège where students will unlock the secrets of the iconic dye plant, then at the heart of the Bastide de Montgeard where historical figures will tell the storyGolden Age of Pastel in Lauragais.
Who stole the plenty?
Equipped with a game booklet, the students team up and carry out the investigation Pastel Museum in Labège. Budding detectives roam the exhibition spaces looking for clues. They take over the place to unravel the secrets of this emblematic plant which brought wealth and pride to the region and answer all their questions.
What is the history of Pastel? What is plenty? How was this particular blue obtained? And above all, who is the thief?!
The workshop ends with a pastel dyeing demonstration.

Dive into the golden age of Pastel
The day continues towards Lauragais, in the heart of the alleys of the Bastide de Montgeard to experience the history of Pastel during a costumed visit led by the guides of Lauragais Tourism.
It is a real time travel what will the children experience! Welcomed by a guide straight from another era, they set off to meet colorful characters who marked the history of the bastide during thegolden age of pastel during the Renaissance. His business made the village's fortune and gave it all its finest heritage.
Unusual encounters follow one another and introduce the students to numerous anecdotes about this past life and great moments of laughter.
This day includes:
- Investigation at the Pastel Museum in Labège.
Welcome, supervision and delivery of a game booklet.
