This bastide was built on the initiative of the King of France, Philippe V le Long in 1317. The village experienced incredible prosperity in the XNUMXth century thanks to the cultivation of pastel. From this period dates the magnificent Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in which the pastoral merchants still rest, as well as the beautiful mansion called “Le Château”.
During the visit, your guide will talk about the beautiful hours of the royal bastide Montgeard, but also local history with daily life in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, as well as the peculiarities of a country house.
