The village is located just a few kilometers from Caraman. Between the chapel of Noumérens and the alleys of the village, you will discover a beautiful village of Lauragais!
A former Gallo-Roman villa, Auriac-sur-Vendinelle was built around its castle from the XNUMXth century.
Its religious heritage is quite atypical. The square bell tower of the Sainte-Marie Madeleine church is in fact the old keep of the castle-fortress.
You will also discover a beautiful wooden hall, typical of the Lauragais trading villages, the small bridge, a 15th century work and the castle which now houses housing.
A small village market is held every Tuesday morning.
You can also stock up on regional products in the shop "Les moulins de Perrine", located a little away from the village.
A little further, the chapel of Noumérens is a little gem of Romanesque art worth the trip.
