Double lock located on the Canal du Midi. The lock keeper dates from the middle of the XNUMXth century, the interior consisted of a living room and a stable.
The name of this lock comes from Occitan and means "the oak".
During its construction, enormous errors of leveling were made, because of the imprecision of the instruments of the time. When it was put in water in 1672, it was noticed that the single airlock was insufficient, hence the addition of a second basin.
Note the play of color on the Toulouse brick stairs. From here you are 1560 meters from the d'en Borrel lock and 2848 meters from the Renneville lock.
