Solar is one of the renewable energies more and more widespread in our homes. The objective of this activity is to make the children react on what they can find at home and know how to reproduce some simple experiments.
With an energy production equivalent to the annual consumption of 10 inhabitants, this solar power plant is one of the largest in France, the culmination of a major project initiated by Colaursud, initially led by Véolia, then relayed by Ténergie which brought it to completion.
This energy production equipment is part of the economic strategy of the former community of municipalities Colaursud, following the will of elected officials to develop the productive economy of the territory by creating an important activity zone in Calmont, balancing in this way the activity within the ex-Colaursud living area.
